Music in the Brickhills 2011 Series - Choral Works

 

MitB presents the fifith annual performance of

 

HANDEL’S     MESSIAH

 

The band are selected players from local orchestras (including NSO and MK Sinfonia).   The choir are local singers - soloists (tba) step forward from the choir in the Handelian tradition.  

 

 

Great Brickhill Church is the site of MitB fifth annual performance of Messiah, again in aid of Willen Hospice and Great Brickhill Church.  The concert takes place on the 25th September.

 

Rehearsal Schedule for 2011 Messiah (all at Great Brickhill Church)

 

10th (Sat) Sept 1pm onwards  soloists

6th Sept (Tue) 7.30 pm And the Glory, Good Tidings to Zion,  Unto Us a Child,  Glory to God, Behold the Lamb of God.

13th (Tue) Sept 7.30pm Surely, And with his Stripes, All we like sheep,  He trusted in God, Lift up your Heads

19th (Mon) Sept Let All the Angels, How beautiful are the feet,  Hallelujah, Since by man came death, but thanks, thanks be to God.

20th (Sept Tue) soloists plus continuo (under arrangement) 7.30pm

24th (Sat) Sept 1030 Choir (bring packed lunch and drinks)

25th (Sun) Sept 2pm Choir meet Band

25th (Sun) 7.30pm concert
